Your Questions Answered
What is e-learning?

E-learning is not new, it is simply learning using information technology. That may be computer based training (CBT);t raining modules accessed through a CD/DVD or directly through a website on the internet.

Do you have to be a computer-whiz to be able to use e-learning?

No, not a computer-whiz, if you can use the internet and a keyboard you could successfully use our e-learning modules!

Where can you do the training?

You can access our e-learning modules from any convenient location that has a computer with internet access, at work, at home, an internet café, a learn direct centre or your local library.

Who can use the e-learning modules?

If your organisation has an account with train 4 health ltd you will be issued with a login username and unique password and you can use the appropriate learning modules for your job/role.

When can I access the e-learning modules?

Anytime that suits you, our website has 24 hour access 365 days a year, that makes it ideal for people working shifts, unusual working hours or patterns because you can update your training at a time that suits you.

How do the modules work?

The modules cover most topics of basic statutory and mandatory training that an employee working in a health or social care organisation may need to do to be able to operate in a safe manner. Once logged onto the site you select the module you wish to complete and you will access the supporting learning materials for that topic. You will also be given an option to take a knowledge competence test. If you are completing an update requirement you may go straight to the test and complete it using your existing knowledge. If you get 80% or more of the questions right you will pass and be given an option to print your certificate. If you get less than 80% you will be given an option to revisit the supporting material to update your knowledge.

Is it a standard test for each module?

No, the tests are randomly generated to ensure a different test is produced every time a module is accessed.

How long are the credits valid for?

Credits have a two year shelf life so an organisation can inflation-proof its training provision by pre-purchasing modules for the whole year.

How often are the modules updated?

Modules are routinely reviewed annually but if there is a change in legislation the module would be updated within 30 days.
